Inactive Ingredients: titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol, ypromellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, olysorbate 80, sucrose, magnesium stearate, crospovidone, povidone and lactose.
What is Generic Coreg-Carvedilol PRESCRIBED For?
Generic Coreg-Carvedilol lowers blood pressure and increases the output of the heart. It is prescribed for people with congestive heart failure to increase survival and reduce the need for hospitalization. Generic Coreg-Carvedilol may be prescribed if you have survived a heart attack and now suffer from left ventricular dysfunction, a condition where the left side of the heart no longer pumps properly. It is also used to control high blood pressure. It is often used with other drugs.
How Should I Take Generic Coreg-Carvedilol?
Generic Coreg-Carvedilol comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken twice a day with food. You will start out taking a low dose of Generic Coreg-Carvedilol, and your doctor will increase your dose every 1 to 2 weeks until you are taking a dose that works well for you. When you start Generic Coreg-Carvedilol and whenever your doctor increases your dose you will be closely watched to make sure the dose is not too high for you. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Generic Coreg-Carvedilol exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
Generic Coreg-Carvedilol controls high blood pressure and heart failure but does not cure them. Your blood pressure should lower within 30 minutes and your symptoms of heart failure should begin to improve within the first hour of beginning Generic Coreg-Carvedilol. Continue taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol without talking to your doctor. Abruptly stopping Generic Coreg-Carvedilol can worsen your symptoms. Your doctor will probably want to decrease your dose gradually over 1 to 2 weeks.
Store Generic Coreg-Carvedilol at room temperature below 86°F (30°C), away from heat, moisture, and light.
What are the CONTRAINDICATIONS for taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol?
Before taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol tell your doctor and pharmacist if you have a history of allergic reactions to any substance (for example, food products or bee stings) or are allergic to Generic Coreg-Carvedilol or any other drugs.
You should not take Generic Coreg-Carvedilol if you have ever had asthma or another lung disease; blood vessel disease; heart, kidney, or liver disease; diabetes; pheochromocytoma; or an overactive thyroid gland.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol, call your doctor. It is unknown if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. Do not breast-feed while taking this medicine.
You should know that this drug may make you dizzy and lightheaded when you are standing. You should sit or lie down when these symptoms occur and then stand up slowly.
What Happens if I MISS A DOSE?
Take the missed dose as soon as get a chance. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
What happens if I OVERDOSE?
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include very slow heart rate; severe dizziness; fainting; weakness; difficult or slowed breathing.
What are the possible SIDE EFFECTS of Generic Clomid-Clomiphene?
Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Generic Coreg-Carvedilol.
Side effects may include: Anemia, back pain, bronchitis, cough, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting,
fatigue, fluid in the lungs, headache, increased blood sugar levels, increased cholesterol, joint pain, low blood pressure, nausea, pain, shortness of breath, sinus problems, slow heartbeat, swelling, upper respiratory infection, vision changes, vomiting, weakness, weight gain, wheezing
What other drugs can INTERACT with Generic Clomid-Clomiphene?
If Generic Coreg-Carvedilol is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Generic Coreg-Carvedilol with any of the following:
- Calcium channel blockers (blood pressure and heart medications such as Calan, Cardizem, Isoptin, and Verelan)
- Cimetidine (Tagamet)
- Clonidine (Catapres)
- Cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune)
- Diabetes pills such as Diabinese, Glucophage, and Rezulin
- Drugs classified as MAO inhibitors, including the antidepressants Nardil and Parnate
- Digoxin (Lanoxin)
- Fluoxetine (Prozac)
- Insulin
- Paroxetine (Paxil)
- Propafenone (Rythmol)
- Quinidine (Quinaglute)
- Reserpine (Ser-Ap-Es)
- Rifampin (Rifadin)
